About Vaughan listings

Vaughan is a city in York Region directly north of Toronto. It is made up of distinct communities, including Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, Concord and part of Thornhill, and listings are labelled with these community names.

Most of Vaughan's housing is detached and semi-detached homes and townhouses in established subdivisions, with a growing number of condominium towers around the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, which is served by TTC Line 1. Highways 400, 407 and 427 all run through the city.

Because housing varies so much between communities, DoorGo's Deal Score compares each Vaughan listing with similar listings in the same community wherever there are enough of them, and falls back to the whole city only when there aren't.

Searching Vaughan on DoorGo

  • Type a community name (Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, Concord) in the search box to narrow the results; the community is part of every listing's location.
  • Use Home type to separate freehold houses from condos: their prices and monthly costs aren't comparable.
  • Open a listing's Deal Score to see exactly which listings it was compared with, and how many.

Questions

Where do these listings come from?

Listings are provided through the PropTx IDX feed from members of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, and include only listings whose brokerages allow internet display. Each listing names the brokerage that holds it. The search is refreshed from the feed throughout the day; a listing that comes off the market disappears from DoorGo on the next update.

Why is the size shown as a range?

Listing brokerages usually report interior size as a range, such as 2,000–2,500 sq ft, rather than an exact measurement. DoorGo shows the range as reported. When you filter by size, a home is included when its reported range falls within the range you choose.

What does the Deal Score mean?

Deal Score compares a listing's current asking price with the asking prices of similar listings for sale or rent right now: same style and bedrooms, in the same community where there are enough of them, and the same size range where reported. 50 is typical. It is not an appraisal and doesn't use sold prices, so it can't account for lot size, condition or renovations.
